George Floyd Mural Destroyed By Lightning Strike In Toledo, Ohio

'BLM' and 'Antifa' Model Citizen: George Floyd Mural Destroyed

A reported lightning strike destroyed a mural in remembrance of George Floyd in Toledo, Ohio, and was reduced to rubble. 

A doppler radar shows a strike hit at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday near where the mural was painted. Witnesses told Toledo Police that a lightning strike destroyed the mural.

Quite a contrast and conundrum for the 'BLM' and 'Antifa' movement today, or the breath of God in reply. The piece, titled "Take a Breath," was created by local artist David Ross about one year ago in honor of Floyd:

1. George Floyd moved to Minneapolis in 2014 after being released from prison in Houston, Texas following an arrest for aggravated robbery

2. On May 25, 2020, Floyd was arrested for passing a counterfeit $20 bill at a grocery store in Minneapolis

3. He was under the influence of fentanyl and methamphetamine at the time of arrest

4. Floyd has more than a decade-old criminal history at the time of the arrest and went to jail for at least 5 times

5. George Floyd was the ringleader of a violent home invasion

6. He plead guilty to entering a woman’s home, pointing a gun at her stomach and searching the home for drugs and money, according to court records

7. Floyd was sentenced to 10 months in state jail for possession of cocaine in a December 2005 arrest

8. He had previously been sentenced to eight months for the same offense, stemming from an October 2002 arrest

9. Floyd was arrested in 2002 for criminal trespassing and served 30 days in jail

Police Arrested Floyd a Total of 9 Times, Mostly on Drug and Theft Charges

According to court records in Harris County, which encompasses Floyd’s hometown of Houston, authorities arrested him on nine separate occasions between 1997 and 2007, mostly on drug and theft charges that resulted in months-long jail sentences.
